2024 Emerging Cinematographers Award

Every year the International Cinematographers Guid or ICG hosts the Emerging Cinematographers Awards or the ECAs. As they describe it,”The ECAs are the only award event in the industry to prioritize exposure and recognition for early-career and emerging directors of photography. Submissions are open to Local 600 members who are not yet classified as directors of photography, and a panel of established ICG members from across the country assess submissions of short films, under 30 minutes in length.”

I am Incredibly honored to be selected for an Emerging Cinematographers Award for my film Sands of Fate! I found out about the awards a few years ago when one of my friends was an honoree and last year my good friend Grant MacAllister had also won. Now that i was eligible i knew i had to apply and was excited to see i had been selected among some other incredible DPs.

I got selected using our Star Wars fan film Sands of Fate which also got me my ASC Mentorship selection. Really excited to celebrate in September with all the other Honorees and thankful for everyone who helped me get here.
